Job Description — Overview & Responsibilities

About the Role: Entry-level position on a Product Development Team. Work closely with small cross-functional teams to deliver high-value features in short iterations with a strong emphasis on learning the product through exploratory testing and progressively contributing to test automation.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work autonomously to test features and document results in an Agile environment
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver customer value and learn from feedback
  • Propose creative solutions to complex testing problems
  • Evaluate and help define acceptance criteria; break down large user stories
  • Plan testing activities for each sprint; execute exploratory tests
  • Develop and maintain manual test cases/documentation for complex scenarios
  • Assist with building and maintaining testing environments
  • Attend project meetings; identify and communicate obstacles
  • Learn to become a subject matter expert on the products you test

Reports to: Manager, Engineering/Development. No travel or budget responsibilities.
