As a Software Engineer at HPE, you will work on software enhancements and new products that power edge-to-cloud solutions for customers worldwide. This Remote/Teleworker role lets you contribute from home while collaborating with teams across Bangalore, Chennai, and beyond. You will apply core software engineering principles, modern languages, and tools to build, test, and maintain applications that run on local, networked, and internet-based platforms.

Job Family Definition: You will analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or internet-related computer programs, primarily for end users. Using current programming languages and technologies, you will write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications. You will also support documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance, and may interact with users to define system requirements and modifications.

Management Level Definition (TCP_01): You will contribute to assignments of limited scope by applying technical concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through training, education, or prior experience. As a team member, you provide information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts, exercising independent judgment within defined parameters.

• Code and program enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software.
• Work across local, networked, and internet-based platforms based on specific requirements and instructions.
• Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code, identifying, logging, and debugging issues.
• Contribute to documentation and procedures related to installation, deployment, and maintenance of applications.
• Develop understanding of and relationships with internal and outsourced development partners.
• Participate as a member of a project team of software application engineers and development partners.
• Help deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Experience: Typically 0–2 years of relevant experience (freshers can apply).
• Experience or understanding of software applications design tools and languages.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of design for software applications running on multiple platform types.
• Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
