As a Software Development Engineer-I (Backend+AI), you will build and maintain backend systems that power these products. You will work closely with other engineers and product teams to design and ship delightful features that solve real customer pain points in healthcare.

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend systems using Python, FastAPI, Django, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software aligned with customer needs.
• Develop efficient APIs and microservices with clear contracts, versioning and observability.
• Write clean, well-documented code following industry best practices and internal guidelines.
• Contribute to performance, scalability and reliability improvements across backend services.
• Work with AI/LLM tooling to integrate intelligence into backend flows where applicable.

• Have 1–3 years of experience building backend services in production.
• Can break down complex problems into simple, scalable designs.
• Are comfortable working with databases, caching, message queues and observability tools.
• Are excited about AI/LLM technologies and their real-world applications in products.
• Value timely delivery without compromising on quality and maintainability.

• Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–3 years of backend development experience with Python, FastAPI, Django.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Strong understanding of databases, RESTful API design and microservices.
• Experience with message queues and caching solutions.
• Preferred / Bonus Skills:
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or Autogen.
• Practical knowledge of Vector databases and semantic search.
• Ability to deliver quality solutions within deadlines and iterate based on feedback.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
